North York Ski Centre, Ski resort in North York, Ontario, Canada

North York Ski Centre is an urban winter sports facility with one quad chairlift and tow rope accessing slopes of varying difficulty. The terrain spans about 140 feet (43 meters) of vertical drop, with runs designed for both beginners and intermediate skiers.

The facility experienced equipment failures around 2011 and 2012 that forced temporary closures and prompted major renovation work. Following these improvements, the center reopened with modernized infrastructure to serve the urban skiing community.

The facility serves local residents as a convenient winter sports destination during the cold season without requiring travel away from the Toronto area. Families and friends gather here for accessible skiing and snowboarding close to home.

Visitors should come prepared for variable snow and slushy conditions typical of urban ski centers, especially during warmer winter days. It is wise to check current conditions and operating hours before visiting, as the facility's schedule depends heavily on weather.

It ranks as one of only two ski facilities within Toronto city limits, making it a rare find for winter sports in an urban setting. This location near downtown Toronto distinguishes it from most skiing destinations in the region.
