Renault Winery, Winery in Egg Harbor City, New Jersey, United States

Renault Winery is a historic wine producer on an expansive property near Egg Harbor City with extensive vineyard grounds spread across the estate. The site includes a multi-story hotel, dining spaces, and facilities designed for tours, tastings, and private events.

A French vintner established this winery in the 1880s and began producing sparkling wine using European methods from the start. This early founding made the property a pioneer in American wine production during a time when few knew how to make wine this way.

The name reflects its French founder and the European winemaking traditions that have shaped the estate since its founding. This blend of old-world technique and American soil remains visible in how the vineyards are managed and how staff approach their daily work.

Visitors can join vineyard tours, tasting sessions, and hands-on classes while staying at the on-site hotel or dining in the restaurants. It helps to check what activities run on different days since the schedule shifts with the seasons and special events.

The property is the only place in the United States where authentic American sparkling wine is made using traditional methods in the style of French Champagne. This distinction has set it apart from other wine producers for over a century and a half.
