Palace Theatre, Movie and performance theatre in Cape Charles, United States

The Palace Theatre is a movie and performance venue in Cape Charles that shows films and hosts live performances in a building with preserved architectural elements from the 1940s. The space is now run by a non-profit arts organization that also provides dance, theatre, music, and fine arts classes.

The theatre opened in 1941 and quickly became a central entertainment hub for Cape Charles residents during the World War II era. Its origins reflect a time when movie houses and theaters were vital gathering places for communities.

The venue serves as a gathering place where the community comes together for local dance performances, musical concerts, and theater productions. These events reflect the region's artistic life and keep the space active with fresh programming year-round.

This collaboration brings unexpected and unusual forms of art to the area that visitors would not typically find elsewhere locally.
