Marlatt Hall, Student residence hall at Kansas State University, Kansas, United States
Marlatt Hall is a residence building at Kansas State University situated on the west side of campus with seven stories. It accommodates roughly 600 students in a mix of standard rooms and suite-style living arrangements.
The building was constructed in 1964 and named after Washington Marlatt, an early settler and administrator at Bluemont College, which later became Kansas State University. It represents the expansion of university housing during that era.
The residence transformed from an all-male dormitory to a coeducational living space in 2009, reflecting changes in university housing policies and social dynamics.
Residents have access to study spaces and a communal kitchen for socializing and cooking. Rooms are furnished with essential items like desks and adjustable beds to suit different preferences.
The building features dedicated piano rooms where students can practice music, setting it apart from standard dormitories. These spaces enable musical activities alongside academic life.
