Camp Massasoit, Summer camp in Springfield, Massachusetts, US.
Camp Massasoit is a summer camp located at Springfield College, providing outdoor activities and learning programs for children aged 5 to 15. The grounds take advantage of waterfront access and natural settings to offer a range of activities throughout the season.
The camp was established in 1934 at Springfield College as a day camp starting with sessions for boys. It has since grown into a more inclusive program offering activities for both girls and boys.
The camp holds meaning for local families as a place where children develop skills and values through outdoor learning. Visitors notice how daily routines and group activities shape the experience and connections that young people form here.
You can register and get information at 263 Alden Street in Springfield, where the main office is located. For questions or more details about activities, you can call ahead at 413-748-4020.
The Pueblo, one of the original structures built in 1932, still stands on the grounds as a piece of camp history. Its companion building, Pukwana Lodge, burned down in 1964 and disappeared from the site.
