Alba Vineyard, Winery in Warren County, New Jersey, USA
Alba Vineyard is a winery spanning more than 200 acres on the north side of Musconetcong River Valley with sloped terrain suited for growing multiple grape varieties. The landscape varies significantly in elevation across the property, creating different growing zones for different sections.
The land operated as a dairy farm in the late 1700s before being transformed into a winery. This transition put the nutrient-rich soil to use for grape production instead of pasture.
The winery blends European winemaking traditions with contemporary practices that visitors can observe in daily operations. This mix shapes how wines are made and what flavors end up in each bottle.
The tasting room opens daily with hours that change depending on the season. Plan to spend a couple of hours sampling different wines and exploring the grounds at a comfortable pace.
The property rises from roughly 250 to over 650 feet in elevation, allowing cold air to naturally drain downward. This elevation change protects vines from frost damage and extends the growing season considerably.
