Rockland Country Club, Golf course and country club in Sparkill, United States.
Rockland Country Club is an 18-hole golf course in Sparkill set across rolling terrain with elevation changes throughout, playing to a par of 71. The facility includes practice areas such as a driving range, chipping zone, and putting green, where golfers can receive instruction from PGA professionals.
The course began as a 9-hole layout but underwent a complete redesign by Robert White in 1930. This transformation created the full 18-hole configuration that remains in play today.
The club hosts the Metropolitan PGA Club Professional Championship regularly since 2008, drawing competitive players from across the region. These tournaments have made it a gathering place for serious golfers in the area.
The rolling terrain requires good walking shoes and reasonable fitness to navigate comfortably throughout a round. The practice facilities on-site allow golfers to warm up before play or work on specific shots afterward.
The greens here are notably firm and fast compared to other courses in the Metropolitan area. This distinctive characteristic creates extra challenge during competitive play and regular rounds.
