Old Bridge Township Raceway Park, race track in Old Bridge, New Jersey, USA

Old Bridge Township Raceway Park is a racing facility in New Jersey that hosts drag racing, motocross, go-kart, and autocross events on separate tracks. The grounds feature straightforward track layouts with spectator seating, pit areas for vehicle maintenance, and safety barriers designed to manage high-speed racing operations.

The raceway opened in 1965 as a quarter-mile drag strip and expanded over decades to include motocross, go-kart, and road course tracks. It became famous for hosting the NHRA Summernationals, one of America's premier drag racing championships, until the event moved in 2017.

The raceway serves as a gathering place where car and motorcycle enthusiasts come together to share their passion for speed and motorsports. Visitors bond over watching races, inspecting vehicles in the pits, and discussing driving techniques with fellow fans and drivers.

The raceway is easily accessible by car with parking available nearby and clear directions from the New Jersey Turnpike. Plan to arrive early on race days to secure good viewing spots, and bring supplies like hats and coolers since the facility offers food vendors and basic facilities including restrooms.

The facility hosted a historic concert in 1977 when Grateful Dead performed before more than 100,000 people, one of the largest ticketed shows in America at that time. The concert was recorded and released as a live album, making the raceway a notable music venue beyond its racing heritage.
