Graveney School, Secondary school in Tooting, London
Graveney School is a secondary school in Tooting that occupies two former educational sites with multiple buildings and sports facilities spread across the campus. The school enrolls students aged 11 to 18 and operates using both modern and historic structures on its grounds.
The school was created in 1986 by merging two previous educational institutions serving different student groups. It was converted to an academy in 2011.
Students study modern foreign languages starting from year 7, with the option to add further languages from year 8 onwards. Language learning is woven into the daily rhythm of school life here.
The school is located on Welham Road in southwest London and operates selective admission policies. Visiting is best arranged in advance since it remains an active school in daily operation.
The campus includes Furzedown House, a Grade II-listed Georgian building dating to 1794 that reflects the area's architectural past. This historic structure gives the school grounds a distinctive character amid its modern facilities.
